Moses Ojeda, assistant principal at Thomas A. Edison CTE High School in Queens, has been named the 2012 Champion of Digital Literacy by Certiport, the performance based testing organization. According to Rod Masuda of Certiport, Ojeda surpassed administrators in Illinois and Nevada to take the top honor.
Edison offers ten CTE programs that all incorporate digital skills: Computer Repair, AutoCAD, Cisco Networking, Electrical Installation, Med Pharma, Web Design, Automotive Technology, Commercial Art, Graphic Art Communications and Robotics.
As this year’s Champion of Digital Literacy, Mr. Ojeda received an invitation to Certiport’s annual Worldwide Competition and Global Partner Summit to be held at the Bellagio resort in Las Vegas. This year’s summit includes a Worldwide Competition on Microsoft Office with several hundred thousand students from over 50 countries expected to compete.
